On May 2nd, Stanford Law School is hosting a conference on the safe and effective implementation of Proposition 36. The conference will focus on representing Prop. 36-eligible inmates, legal questions related to Prop. 36, and how to best martial services for inmates re-entering the community after serving long prison sentences.
Keynote speaker California Attorney General Kamala Harris will join other leading judges, prosecutors, academics, corrections professionals, members of the defense bar, and prisoner reentry advocates in frank, non-partisan exchange of ideas as Proposition 36 takes effect throughout the state.
