A inmate in the Sharp County Jail was found dead Wednesday in his cell.
Officials from the Sharp County Sheriff's Department said Shane B. Haggins, 30, was found dead in his cell at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. A handwritten note indicating his death was a result of self-induced hanging also was found in Haggins' cell, police said.
No foul play is suspected in Haggins' death, police said. The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident
Haggins body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy, according to the Sharp County Sheriff's Department.
Haggins had been in the Sharp County Jail awaiting trial on capital murder charges since July 25.
