This spring, CJCJ is excited to announce our move to a new home! Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District, Cameo House is a 3‑story Edwardian that is ideally suited to meet the long-term needs of the agency. Currently, CJCJ programs are divided across multiple locations, which can sometimes cause challenges when creating and implementing community supports, especially given high rent. This transition will allow CJCJ to bring its service programs together under one roof and allow for reinvestment into our direct client services.

As part of this transition, Cameo House’s basement is undergoing substantial renovation to accommodate CJCJ’s team and additional programming. By carrying out this renovation, CJCJ will be able to provide a full range of services at the Cameo House site and ensure long-term sustainability in San Francisco. As part of the renovations, we will be upgrading the children and family’s backyard. Once completed, CJCJ will have a permanent, centralized location capable of serving a diversity of clients.

Cameo House

We invite you to help us today and make a donation to support CJCJ’s transition to Cameo House. Your generosity will help us renovate the basement space and ensure that CJCJ continues to develop innovative community-based solutions to public safety.

Since 1985, CJCJ has been pushing a bold vision of justice that is centered on improving the safety and well-being of communities without reliance on incarceration. Every day, our direct service staff support justice-involved youth and adults through services including intensive case management, mental health support, re-entry planning, services for children with court-involved parents, and our Cameo House residential alternative sentencing program. Our technical assistance programs show other jurisdictions how to model the successful programs we have successfully incubated in San Francisco. Finally, CJCJ’s policy team builds from the foundation of these direct service programs to develop data-driven research and policy advocacy that reduces society’s reliance on incarceration. All three areas are interrelated and regularly collaborate to develop innovative community programs.

Our vision for safe and healthy communities can only be achieved in strong partnership and we hope you will donate today to help support CJCJ’s new home!
