CJCJ is pleased to announce that Communications and Policy Analyst, Renee Menart, has been selected as a recipient of the 2019 – 2020 Bay Area Inspire Award.

CJCJ staff are deeply saddened by the recent passing of former San Francisco District Attorney Terence Hallinan.

In recent months, San Franciscans have seen alarming headlines announcing the city has suffered huge increases in crime. However, analysis shows that the city’s crime trends are driven by just one type of offense: thefts from motor vehicles.

Here at CJCJ, we believe in supporting families that have been impacted by the justice system. Join us this #GivingTuesday to help us continue our positive impact!

Recently, California failed to adopt the Keep Youth Closer to Home Act (SB 284). CJCJ and community partners will continue our work to move beyond costly, dangerous, and non-rehabilitative approaches to juvenile justice.
